Serenity Grandeur Cruise Completely worth it. The views, the water, the weather, the premium cruise, staff, co-travellers, everything was brilliant.
We were picked up at exactly 8:30 by Iron who was our guide on the cruise and his humour, just like his English, is great. He never left anyone out in our group and gave detailed information and instructions on the cruise.
We boarded the cruise at around 9:30 and the cruise is clean and beautiful. Cameras on cruise made us worry free from looking at our belongings. There were limited people on the cruise even though their capacity was more.
We were lucky that weather was cloudy and hence kayaking became so much fun.
We were presented with delicious lunch post kayaking for which the special requirements (veg/non-veg) were taken beforehand. After lunch, we jumped into the water at a secluded place from the top deck of the cruise. Tony and all of the staff were motivating everyone to jump into the water to enjoy the crystal clear water. It was really fun and adventurous.
We had snacks and went to see the fishing village before heading back to the port.
We also booked bus from Cat Ba Island to Hanoi from Serenity Cruise (Cat Ba Express) on a heavy discount, post this trip.
Overall it is a great package and value for money. I am glad I skipped the crowded Ha Long Bay and went on this tour instead.
